Percy Gravely, 73 of Eden, NC passed Thursday, July 25, 2024. Public viwing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Perry Spence Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC from 12:30 p.m - 1:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by interment at Hamlin Cemetery.

Percy Green Gravley, Jr. transitioned from this earthly home on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at his home. Percy was born February 26, 1951 in Rockingham County to the late Percy and Mae Gravley.

He graduated from Morehead High School, Eden, NC and served in the United States Marines. He was a member of the BN 113th FA, NC ARNG UNIT at Henry St., Eden, NC from 1974 – 1976 until his Honorable Discharge. Later he worked at Fieldcrest Mills and retired from Dan River.

Percy was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church, Eden, NC. He loved sports and was a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers football team.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his very special companion, Shay Olverson, two brothers; Edmund Gravley (Rochelle) and Anthony Gravley. Four sisters; Laddie Tinsley (Walter), Marjorie Clark (Preston), Iverne Broadnax, Bonnie McPhee (Joe) along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
