With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Hilda Waters Tooley, a pillar of love, faith, and community, who departed this life on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the age of 75.

Mrs. Tooley was Born on July 19, 1949, in Valdosta, Georgia, Hilda was a shining example of kindness, compassion, and devotion. Her heart was pure gold, always putting the needs of others before her own. She spent her life caring for those around her, spreading love and warmth to all who knew her. A devout woman of faith, Hilda's unwavering commitment to her spiritual journey inspired countless individuals. Her unshakeable belief in the power of prayer and her trust in the Lord guided her every step. Family was the cornerstone of Hilda's life.

Heilda cherished every moment with her loved ones, nurturing them with unconditional love, support, and guidance. Her legacy of love, laughter, and warmth will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and community. Hilda's impact on her community was immeasurable. She fought long and hard for her Lord, and through it all She kept true to him. And now the time has come for her to stop fighting and rest. In heaven a crown is waiting for Hilda Waters-Tooley, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give on that great day of his return. And not just to her, but to all those whose lives show that they are eagerly looking forward to his coming back again.

Rest in peace, dear Hilda. Your love, light, and legacy will continue to inspire us all.

Celebration of Life Services will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Services will be held from the sanctuary of Crossing Jordan Baptist Church - 1401 Cypress Street.
