Mrs. Theodora T. Miller Our beloved " Nana Banana", departed this life on Friday August 2, 2024 after a long illness. "Teddy" as she was affectionately known was born to the late Theodore Butler and Mildred Ross on September 9, 1938 in Washington, DC. She was also preceded in death by husband, Carl Miller; son, Keith West; daughter, Carolyn Miller West; grandson's Keith and Donquise.

She attended school in Washington, DC where she later married Carl Miller and moved to Mt. Vernon, NY. Teddy attended Macedonia Baptist Church, when she became the "Grand Matron" for the Eastern Star's, her life's passion. She retired from the Health Department in Mt. Vernon, and moved to High Point, NC, where she became an active member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In mourning are her three daughters, Dorothea Hamilton (Oliver), Stephanie West and Robbin Burton; her legacy of children are, grandson's, Bernard West, Karl Allen, Courtney Miller, and Rahchine ( Kianna)Craig; great­grandchildren, Keyanna Allen, Nya Burton, Nasir Miller, Bernard West Jr., Joi Allen, Lorel Miller, Carmelo Miller Courtney, Jr., Amiyah, Daniel Craig, Kyle Craig, Zadiel Miller, great­great grandson, Sonya Allen; one son-in-law, Clayton West; and a host of special friends, Dale Harper Cynthia Golden, Pamela Trottman, Bishop and First Lady Clay, Rhodesia Small.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church 401 Wise Avenue. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
