Robbin Renee House was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Stella Mae (Miller) House and the late Leroy House. She has been a resident of the City of Harrisburg for her entire life where she would go on to graduate from the Harrisburg High School in 1977. During her high school years, she participated in Track and Field.
She would go on to obtain an Associate Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College. She spent many years employed by the Alternative Rehabilitation Communities of Harrisburg (ARC) working with at risk youth and most recently served as a para-professional in the Steelton Highspire School District. She had a true passion for working with young people and felt she was living in her purpose when working and educating children.
Robbin’s hobbies included racquetball, cooking, decorating her home, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
In the early morning hours of August 3, 2024, after a brief illness, Robbin transitioned from time to eternity at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her children, Ryan House and Steven Rush (Felicia) of Harrisburg, PA; a brother, Richard K House of Sosua, Dominican Republic; sisters, Leslie House of Harrisburg, PA and Amber House Aman of Sinking Spring PA; four grandchildren, Steven Rush, Jr., Sire Rush, Solace Rush and Stella Rush; two god children, Justin Jordan and Albert House Dennis; a niece, Jasmine Baity; two nephews, Richard House, Jr. and Kevin House-Martínez and a host of other relatives and friends.
Robbin’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 9, 2024 at The First Baptist Church of Steelton, 1850 South 19th St. Harrisburg, PA with viewing and visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and interment in Paxtang Cemetery, the final chapter in a life full of family, friends and laughs.
