Vallie M Griffin Campbell, 84 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her residence in Memphis, Tennessee. Born Wednesday, September 20, 1939, in Winona, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Will Griffin and the late Thelma Greenlee Griffin. Surviving are sons Lavon Griffin (Nicole) Womack, Gregory Jones (Gilda) and Michael Jones (Cheryl), daughters, Gwendolyn G Herrod (Lysander) and Nikita Jones, sisters, Bobbie Jackson and Clara Young; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish her memory. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Temple of Deliverance COGIC located at 547 Mississippi Blvd Memphis, Tennessee 38126. The interment will be in New Park Cemetery, Memphis, TN.
