Annie Mae Dogan Hudson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend made her well prepared transition, from labor to reward on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Doctor’s Hospital, Augusta GA.

Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at the New Hope AME Church. Interment will be held in the Church Cemetery.

Known as “Ann” to some and “Annie Mae” to others, she was born, May 5, 1952 in Jefferson County to the parentage of the late Reginald and Mary Ethel Smith Dogan.

At an early age she joined the Christian saints the New Hope A.M.E. church where she continued to worship until her demise. She worked on various jobs, Thomson Company, 5th Street Slacks and Capro Manufacturing, always providing for her family. Ann found great joy in cooking. It brought joy to her family and friends. She was always known as a very loving, caring mother figure. Always nurturing others.

Ann was blessed to have known, be loved, and married to the now late Robert Hudson. He, along with her parents, and one brother, Elphonsa “Pete” Dogan, preceded her in death.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are two devoted and loving sons and their wives: Steve and Corinthian La’Favor, Louisville, GA and Donta’ and Breonna Johnson, Graniteville, S.C.; a stepson: Robert Hudson, Jr., FL; her grandchildren: Khamoni Johnson, Feneisha Washington, Stevontrell Lewis, Ste’Kimbrea La’Favor, Tamekia Washington, Darry Washington, Jr., Louisville, GA, Olivonta’ Johnson, Ste’Vonica La’Favor, Dequeviora Tykira Mitchell, Darrell Washington, Augusta, GA, Keion Gibbons, San Antonio Texas, Benicol Palmer, Kingston, GA, Keteisha Broomfield, Statesboro, GA; her loving sisters: Judy Jordan, Louisville, GA, Ella (Mark) Walden and Patricia (Robert) Cooper, Louisville, GA.; sisters-in-law, Marion Gamble Dogan, Wrens, GA, Wanda Taylor and Clara Kemp, Wadley, GA several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Active Pallbearers will be Anthony Jordan, Bobby Lewis, Clarence Gilmore, D’Wayne Johnson, Charlie Hilton, Lee Hannah, Bobby Dogan and Walter Dogan.
