OBITUARY:

Josephine Williams Cage affectionately known as Josie was born September 4, 1960 to Eugene and Willie C. Williams.

She departed her earthly life on August 10, 2024 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, Mississippi.

Josephine was a 1980 graduate of Tchula Attendance Center in Tchula, Mississippi. She had a passion for singing until her health failed. She also was employed by Consolidated Catfish in Isola, MS for 29 years until she retired.

Josephine is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Willie C. Williams and one son, Cedric Tremaine Ward.

Josephine leaves to cherish her memories; her husband: Sammie Cage of Tchula, MS; her children: Marcus Ward(Angela) of Batesville, Arkansas, Eric Ward(Ctara) Canton, MS, her sisters; Christeen Williams of Memphis, TN, Geneva Williams Tucker of Tchula, MS, Shirley Chambliss(Sam) of Lexington, MS.; her brothers: Doc(Angela) Williams of Oakridge, TN, James (Diane) Williams of Lexington, MS, Roosevelt (Hacksaw) Williams of Tchula, MS. Grandchildren: Quadric, Tiara, Cedric Jr., Tazmeairre, Christian and Jamarcus. Special daughter in law Rolanda Ward. Special friends: Minnie Brown, Artimease McLaurin, Dana Cross, Doris Alexandra, Betty Fisher, Penny Hogan, Dorothy Donaldson, Earnestine Greer; a host of nieces, family and friends.
