Funeral service for Mary Charlot, 67, of Phenix City, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m. (CST), Friday, August 16, 2024 at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Jeter Avenue, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Shiloh #2 A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 333 Lee Road 166, Opelika, AL, 36804, Reverend Clifford E. Jones, Pastor and Officiating, Pastor Johnny Ellison, Eulogist.

Mrs. Charlot, who passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Piedmont Regional in Columbus, Georgia, was born March 4, 1957, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Charlot will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Tamico Payne of Fort Moore, GA, Shawntavian Payne of Thomasville, AL, Quantera (Thadeus) Vidal and Jeremiah Payne both of Phenix City, AL; six grandchildren, Shawntavian Payne, Jr. of Opelika, AL, Keshawn Cannon of Atlanta, GA, Tariq Jordan of Norman, OK, Tamia Jordan of Fort Moore, GA, Josiah Vidal of Phenix City, AL and Shavonne Payne of Auburn, AL; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Joanne Dowdell of Marietta, GA, Gwendolyn (James) Thompson of Salem, AL and Dorthea (Michael) Davis of Phenix City, AL; three brothers, Jefferson (Greta) Payne of Opelika, AL, Calvin (Linda) Payne of Loachapoka, AL and Alvin Payne of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Jammie Drake of Milwaukee, WI; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
