OPELOUSAS – Visitation Service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Isabelle W. Shields, 72, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at St. Joseph Carpenter’s House in Lafayette, LA. Inurnment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA

Mrs. Shields leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Sharon Brown of New Orleans, LA; four grandchildren, Lakisa Williams, Briana Williams, Brian Alvis, Jr. and Brea Brown; one great granddaughter, Ja’Nylah Bone; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Goldman Shields; her parents, Emmanuel Young, Sr. and Bertha Alfred; one brother, Emmanuel Young, Jr.; and one sister, Patricia Williams.
