Funeral service for Evelyn Foster, 69, of Opelika, AL, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church, 201 South 4th Street, Opelika, AL, 36801 with interment in Rosemere Cemetery,1500 South Long Street, Opelika, AL, 36801, Reverend Anthony Pogue will officiate.

Ms. Foster, who passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born February 6, 1955, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, August 16, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Ms. Foster will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four children, Johnny (Shawanda) Hughley, Ronald (Lanedra) Hughley both of Opelika, AL, Lonzo (Lillian) Bridges of Dadeville, AL and Lonzia Bridges of Phoenix, AZ; sixteen grandchildren, Zocario Bridges, Camry Bridges, Cedric Bridges, Celvin Bridges, Jadyn Bridges, Zaiden Bridges, Carter Bridges, Jamiria Hughley, Xavier Hughley, Keymia Matthews, Zaaden Matthews, Ashton Matthews, Kaleb Hughley, Kingston Matthews, Sevyn Matthews and Kyler Matthews; six great-grandchildren, O’Lyvia Bridges, Octavian Mcafee, Ave Bridges, Izayah Hughley, Jordan Hughley and Jaelynn Hughley; three brothers, Willie (Mildred) Haynes, Emdward (Angela) Haynes and Eugene Echols all of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Linda (Tea) Vinson of Phenix City, AL, Danetta Haynes of Opelika, AL and Regina Echols of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
