Prophetess Doris J Ford, was s beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

She peacefully left this world on July 29,2024 at Rose Trail Nursing and Rehabilitation in Tyler, Texas surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.

Doris was born in Dallas ,Texas to Ruth E and James H Sims. She lived a long and fulfilling life.

She was a pillar of strength and inspiration to all that had the privilege to know her. She always encouraged others to look up to the Lord. During her lifetime, she loved crafts and creativity and loved to sing.

Her maternal grandmother, Pearl Daniel Morrison was an instrumental model and mentor that shaped her character and values.

On December 24, 2015, DJ sent her dearest daughters a letter that said for many years she wore a string of pearls, even to bed . The pearls were worn to acknowledge the legacy of their great grandmother, Pearl. A point of pride and strength handed down from her mother, Ellen Steward and Ellen's mother, Adeline, who crossed a cell block in Charleston, S.C.

She was blessed with three children Marlio Fenton , Wendelen Kenneybrew , Korin Kenneybrew.

Doris wed Dr. James Monroe Ford on March 3, 1979 in Tyler Texas. She attended Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas. She was an active member at Sunshine Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas . She also worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, University of Texas Health , University Texas Department of Labor Standard Government and retired from Village Retirement Disciple Place.

She enjoyed Sunday meals cooked by her nieces, Vickie Ford Washington and Jana Ford. The meals were served after attending Sunshine Baptist Church by Vicki Washington.

Doris was a member and supporter of the Ford's T-Model Mother's Day Club.

James and Doris were color-coordinated whenever you would see them at various events.

Doris is survived by her spouse of 45 years Dr. James M Ford, three children: Marlio Fenton, Wendelen Kenneybrew, Korin Kenneybrew

Four grandchildren : Raymond Richardson III, Mark Richardson, Taylor Fenton, Jakob Fenton

Two great great grandchildren: Mailyah Richardson , Corbin Richardson (deceased); One niece Shayla Bridges, Two nephews: Cameron Bridges, Alex Sims; One sister: Ava Norris, Two brothers: Antony Sims , Bobby Sims; First cousin: Donna Morrison; extended family: Greg Manley, Tony Wallace, Virginia Bennett Haley and best friend Mary Jo Lewis.

Sister- in-laws :Barbara Nell Ford, Barbara Ann Ford , Hazel Ford Warren, Elena Ford Hampton.

Brother-in laws: Loyce Ford, Willie Ford.
