Mary Ellen Durham, 93, passed away on August 13, 2024 at her home in Macon, GA. Mary was born October 18, 1930 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Lawson Williams and Zelma Williamson Williams.

In 1948, Mary married Harry Durham, Sr. In addition to raising their three children, Mary was a cosmetologist for ten years and later was instrumental in the start-up of Harry Durham Plastering Company. She ran the administrative section of the company for more than 30 years.

Mary was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. She served as a communion minister for ten years and was a member of the Catholic Council of Women.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Durham, Sr.; son, Kirk Durham; and grandchild Kristopher Durham. Mary is survived by son, Harry Durham, Jr. and daughter-in-law Charlene Durham of Macon, GA; daughter, Deion Durham-Randolff of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Mark, Brandon, Steven and Danielle; sisters-in-law, Laura and Bertie Williams of Chicago, IL; daughter-in-law, Raycine Durham of Macon, GA; and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
