Mother Vivian Cattling Collins

Mother Vivian Cattling Collins, 65, of Lincoln, AL, formerly of Altoona, AL passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024.

Vivian Cattling Collins was born January 7,1959 to the late Sylvester L. and Bera Bell Cattling in Altoona, Alabama; she was a graduate of West End High School, Walnut Grove, AL and attended Gadsden State Community College, Gadsden, AL. Mother Collins graduated from Florida Apostolic Bible College, Cantonment, FL – receiving an Associate Science degree in Bible Studies.

Mother Collins confessed Christ at an early age and joined East Side Baptist Church, Altoona, AL: she later joined New Hope AFM Church of God, Leeds, AL. Mother Collins not only loved her biological family and friends but also loved her church and church family; she supported them wholeheartedly and served many roles in the church with love and compassion.

Mother Collins was preceded in death by her parents, a sister (Cora Thomas), and four brothers (George W. Cattling and Robert C. Cattling, Lymus Cattling and Shadrach Cattling); she leaves behind to cherish her memories; a devoted husband, Bishop James E. Collins, Lincoln, AL; a daughter, Brandi Nicole Wade, Lawrenceville, GA; a son, Glenn Wade Jr.; a granddaughter, Legacy Shavonne Wade, both of Tucker, GA; five stepchildren – Bishop Andray (Shunda) Collins, Kenny (Adrian) Collins, Earl (Angial) Collins, all of Lincoln, AL; Lorraine (Brian) McNeal, Sheretta Collins, Anniston, AL; three sisters – Barbara Culp, Altoona, AL, Annette (Anthony) Coleman, Gadsden, AL, Wilfred Lee Dunmeyer of Philadelphia, PA; brother Sylvester (Jeanette) Cattling Jr., Altoona, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 3pm-5pm at West Gadsden Funeral Home.

Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, August 31,2024 at 1:00pm at the AFM Church of God Campground. 49967 U.S. Hwy 78/ Lincoln, AL 35096
