Virginia Ann Freeman

June 7, 1940 - August 25, 2024

Rock Hill, South Carolina - Virginia Ann Freeman,84, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home August 25, 2024. Virginia was born on June 7, 1940.

Born to Clyde and Leila Knight Forsythe, she loved dancing, singing, and time with her family. She was the glue to her family and had a heart of gold. She never met a stranger and loved everyone.

She was proceeded in death by both parents, her husband, Carroll Freeman, sons Dennis Freeman, Ray "Country" Freeman, and Bobby "Bones" Freeman, and a special nephew Mitch Boone.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy "Freebird" Freeman of the home, his four children: Joshua Freeman and Jennifer Freeman both of Hickory, NC. Lauren Freeman of Montgomery AL, and Jimmy Freeman Jr. Of Rock Hill, SC.

She is also survived by her daughter, Tracee McCraven (Cecil) of the home and her three children: Heather Harris (Nathan Green) of Rock Hill, SC, Michael McCraven (Inessa Compare) of Lancaster, SC, Jeremy McCraven (Jordan Rankin) of the home and Mikel McKinney, whom she raised as her own also of the home.

She had several grandchildren, great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nellie Knight of Toccoa, GA.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday August 28 at the American Legion Post 34 on Heckle Blvd. At 4pm. Special thanks to hospice and the ladies at Providence Care for their kindness to our family during this time.
