Mr. Edward Griffin, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, August 26, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY

He was born on May 24, 1943 in Kosciusko, MS to the late John Griffin and Emma Burns Griffin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Angela Griffin; a grandson Christon Hodrick; one brother Earsel Griffin; two sisters Odessa and Angela Peeler.

Edward is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Libby” of Elizabethtown, KY; a son Edward D. Griffin; three daughters Diana Griffin, Traci Griffin and Tonga Hodrick; four grandchildren John, Joshua, Marcus and Shay; one great granddaughter Kaymori Nicole; six brothers Veron Peeler, Lynn (Marla) Peeler, Herman Peeler, Timothy Peeler, William (Veronica) Peeler, Glenn (Pam) Peeler; six sisters Ruby (William) Wright, Ernestine Peeler, Banessa Strickland, Patricia Davidson, Evelyn Peeler, Yvonne Peeler and a host of other family and friends.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Elizabethtown, KY, with Rev. Mark D. Hill officiating. Burial to follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens, Elizabethtown, KY.

Visitation after 6:00 pm Monday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home, Elizabethtown.
