Allan D. Gillette, husband to Latha B. Gillette, entered into rest Sunday, August 25, 2024, at the residence.

Allan graduated from Westside High School in Gary, Indiana. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving his country, Allan met the love of his life, Latha, they were married for thirty-six years. He served 22 years with the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant from Shaw Air Force Base, Columbia, SC. He later worked for the US Postal Service.

Allan memories will be cherished by his devoted wife, Latha Gillette; children, Tanika B. Lopez (Westley), Allan Gillette, Jr., and Leslie Williams, Christina Nalls; grandchildren; sisters, Angela Flack, Kathryn (Ernis) Gill, Hellestine (Joey) Yelldell, Alvertis Dixion, Alphonso (Chrise Ann) Dixion, Alverene Dixion, a host of other relatives and loving friends.

Funeral service will be 4:00 pm, Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Kinsey & Walton Chapel. He will be forwarded to Hinton and Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander Ave. East Chicago, IN. ((219) 397-0971.
