Mr. James M. Alston, Sr. age 90 of Hackensack, New Jersey (formerly of Warrenton, North Carolina) departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at CareOne Nursing Facility in New Milford, New Jersey.

Celebration of life from Mr. Alston will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024. at 1:00P.M. in the chapel of Boyd & Royster Funeral Services 149 Holland Bland Rd. Warrenton, North Carolina. Interment will follow at Davis Family cemetery 1175 Dr. Martin Luther Kings Jr. Blvd. Warrenton, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved daughter Beverly Alston of Hackensack, NJ, son James M. Alston Jr. of Mebane, NC and Ernest O' Brian Alston of Norlina, NC; his sister, Vivette Marie Marr of Hyattsville, MD; his brother, Cosby Owens Alston (Carol) of Teaneck, NJ; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
