On November 23, 1981, Edwin Anton Brooks made his arrival to the late Render Register and Rev. B. C. Brooks in Memphis, Tennessee.
He accepted Christ at a young age under the leadership of his father at Praise of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. From a small age, Anton loved God, Church and the People of God.
Anton acknowledged his call into the Gospel ministry in his early twenties. The Lord gave him the name, Dream Again Ministries, following a dream in which God told him to “dream again”. Later, He started ReGeneration Memphis. The foundation was laid at Praise of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
He was licensed as a minister by Apostle Kevin Davidson at Life Outreach Ministries. Afterward, he was led to Rehoboth Outreach Ministries Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder J.E. Lewis II, and Refreshing Springs COGIC under Elder Bernard Coleman. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee, Anton united with Pastors Hugh Jackson and San Franklin at Kingdom Love Ministries. Upon returning to Memphis, Anton united with the Big, Happy Pentecostal Temple COGIC family under the leadership of Bishop Charles H. M. Patterson, Sr. Anton was also a member of PRL (Pursuing Righteous Living) Ministries founded by the late Supervisor Patricia R. Lewis, who was an intricate part of his life.
Believing in the scripture, II Timothy 2:15, Anton pursued an education secularly and theologically. He graduated from Remington College and Victory University with a degree in Biblical and Theological studies and also William Herbert Brewster Theological Clinic and School of Religion with a Certificate, Master of Biblical Studies.
Anton was an avid believer in family and spending quality time with family! He could always be found at a family gathering, smiling, cracking jokes, and especially eating. He was preceded in death by Ahmad Crawford, nephew, Desmond Brooks; and his uncles, Ronald Register, Gary Douglass, and Rev. Bassil Brooks.
