Clinton Ages, 52, passed on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Atlanta, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, Columbus, GA with Pastor J.H. Flakes, III, pastor; Pastor James Lee, eulogist; Rev. Marco Grim, officiating.
Clinton Renard Ages was born on a cool evening on March 21, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was raised in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Shaw High School in 1990, where he dual-enrolled in a summer program at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Clinton continued his education at the University of Georgia and the Art Institute of Atlanta. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and his Master's degree from Georgia Tech. He was nearing the completion of his Doctorate from Argosy University.
Clinton was devoted to his local church, serving in various ministries and passionately encouraging others toward relentless self-development through his personal brand, Coach Clinton. He authored the book 7 Steps to Accomplish Your Best Self: Elevation & Acceleration. His expertise extended to enhancing employee efficiency and applying agile methodology in organizations such as NASA and Enterprise Car Rental. In addition to his work as an inspirational and motivational speaker, he had a distinguished career in software development, operational consulting, and project management. Clinton also coached sports, consulted, and helped launch numerous startups, beginning his entrepreneurial journey with his own company, Ages LLC.
A man of many passions, Clinton enjoyed music, photography, gardening, traveling, art, film production, and cooking. He was a proud and active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he worked tirelessly alongside his fraternity brothers in service to the community. His dedication to both local and national campaigns was a testament to his commitment to giving back.
Clinton was a devoted husband and father, leaving behind his loving wife, Shardea Ages, and their three children: Clinton Ages Jr. (CJ), Cameron Ages, and Autumn Rose Ages. He was cherished by his parents, George and Willie Mae Ages, his mother-in-love, Janetta M. McCobb (Craig McCobb), and his grandmother-in-love, Mrs. Barbara Davis. He is also survived by his siblings: Claudia Shawonda Porter, Lamel Ages, Cynthia (Cindy) Ages, India Davis, Damone Davis (Zsa’Tawn), Leonard Lay, LaVonia Gipson, Jonathan Lay, and Lawrence Lay. He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews: Daysha Porter, Deborah Porter, Madisyn Monk, Devin Porter, Malik Davis, and Makhi Davis, along with countless other relatives, friends, and colleagues.
Clinton will forever be remembered for his generous spirit, boundless drive, and unwavering love for his family and community.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Homer and Ella Mae Dilliard, Mr. George Ages Sr., Easter Bell Ages, and Mr. James Davis.
