Obituary For Ann Lenox

Anne T. Lenox Nashville, TN Age 88. Nashville. Passed away in her sleep on June 27, 2016. She was born in Cheraw, SC on October 17, 1927. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Solomon T. Talley and Minnie E. Talley and her beloved husband, Theodore H. Lenox, Jr., four brothers and two sisters. She was a 1945 graduate of Coulter Memorial Academy in Cheraw, SC and a 1949 graduate of Fisk University. She received a master's degree in education from Tennessee State University in 1965. Anne retired in 1988 from Metro Nashville Public Schools. She leaves behind her son, Dr. Theodore H. Lenox, III of New York, NY; daughter, Michelle C. Lenox, treasured granddaughter Cresa L. Lenox; sister, Lillian T. McCain, Cheraw, SC; devoted friends John and Helen James of Richardson, TX; numerous nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews, and a multitude of other family and friends to cherish her memory. Viewing will be Friday 2-6 pm. Visitation will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 10-10:30 am, Delta Sigma Theta's Omega Omega Service at 10:30 am with funeral to follow at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, 3855 Clarksville Pike. Burial will be in God's Beautiful Acres Greenwood Cemetery Main. In lieu of flowers donations may me made in Anne's name to Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC. 20090-6011
