Valerie Hodges-Aziz Nashville, TN Passed away peacefully on October 5, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by parents, Sidney and Dorothy Hodges and brother, Anthony Hodges, Sr. Valerie leaves to mourn her cherished memory husband, Suleiman Aziz, sons, Ahmed Aziz and Jameel Aziz, sister, Patricia Hodges-Able (Antoinne), sisters-in-law, Patricia Cook Hodges, Anna Briggs and Vivian King, brother-in-law, Wendell King(Carmen), a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Service of Love to take place on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Luke CME Church 2008 28th Avenue, Nashville, Tn., In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fisk and Tennessee State University Music Departments, New Spirit and Friends or Robert E. You do not know me, but I worked with Mrs. Aziz years ago at Kirkpatrick Elem. She was the music teacher there and did a wonderful job with the children. I have a son and we would discuss children often. She was so thrilled with her boys and their interest in music. I am so sorry for your loss. I had not heard that she had been ill. May you seek the Comfort that only God can provide.
