To the Hill Family I would like to take this time to express my condolences to the entire Hill Family. Yes our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Yes I understand that Alice lived a long time. From the many years of life, she developed a strong bond of friendship with the many family members and friend. And yes you treasure those fond memories. Yet as human we rather have that person back among the living. As we express ourselves this way; God wants us to have the same thing. Yes the real person back alive. So we should not be surprised when we read about this wonderful promise that God makes known to His earthly family. Here is the promise. God tells us that the time is near when He will calll to those in the grave to come out; yes to stand up in life again. (John 5:28-29) Wonder how many times has Alice read this text? The verse is God personal guarantee that Alice and billions of others would have their lives restored back to them. Reading the many accounts that speaks about the resurrection hope provides true comfort. There are nine such accounts. Here is just one such accounts recorded at Luke 7:11-17. Today we understand how you feel. You have lost someone who was special to you. Yet God who is the source of all creative life has informs us that our departed love ones will live again. So we encourage all to gain comfort from the scriptures. This arrangement will happen. For God does not lie. (Titus 1:2)
