To the Gordon Family We are sorry to hear about the recent passing of Clifford Gordon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Yes we are always sadden when we hear about the passing of anyone. In reality, death is a clear reminder of how far the human family has fallen from God's original purpose. Despite the fall, God continues to display His loving kindness to all of us. He encourages us to draw comfort from Him as we deal with the lost of a love one. From the scriptures this is what He tells all grieving family members and friends. He states that He would soon use His great powers to restore life back to our departed love ones. (John 5:28-29) Does this promise provide comfort to You? Does it put a smile on your face in knowing that Clifford and billions of others will live again? No these are not my words, but God's personal promise which serves as a personal guarantee that the restoring of life will take place. We draw comfort from God by learning what we must do to gain these blessing. Yes reading the Bible is helpful. Also reading the nine accounts that speaks about the resurrection is also important. Here is just one such example recorded at Luke 8:40-56. In this account what a joy it was for the man and his wife to witness with their own eyes their daughter standing up in life again. The very same thing will occur for the Gordon family. Yes we must draw comfort from God. We also must build up our faith in the resurrection promise. In closing I say keep this promise near your heart all the time. Remember that God has given us His personal promise. God does not lie. (Titus 1:2)

My heart aches for the Gordon family to lose your precious loved one, Clifford, after just 34 way too short years, way too young, way too soon. I know Clifford has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you a beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: 'Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...' . Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 4 which reads: 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.' For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6:40 Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. I offer my sincere condolences to the family. Feel free to contact me at my email address: myranj@centurytel.net May these promises give you hope, comfort and peace in your time of grief.
