My heart goes out to Leroy and the Reed family and friends of Barbara in your time of sorrow. I know Barbara has left you with many precious memories in her 69 full years with us. 'Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.' . (Psalm 34:18) For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. To the Reed Family We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of Barbara Reed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of great sadness. Yes we are always sadden whenever we hear about the passing of anyone. Death is a clear reminder of how far the human family has fallen from God's original purpose. So since we are all a part of God's earthly family, when you grieve, we will all grieve together. In the days ahead, we will also rejoice together. This rejoicing will take place because of this wonderful promise that God makes known to us. He tells us that soon He would rid the earth of all sicknesses and death.(Revelation 21:3-4) Just imagine living during the time when no one will ever get sick, grow old and then die. Yet here is an extension of the above promise. God now goes on record in saying that He would call to those in the grave to hear His voice and come out; yes to stand up in life again.( John 5:28-29) I personally enjoy these verses. They are God's personal guarantee to all families who have lost anyone in death, that their love ones will live again. Do you see the power in this promise. God is telling the Reed family that Barbara will live again. God wants all to have strong confidence in this promise. So He has preserved at least nine accounts that speaks about this future arrangement. Here is just one example recorded at Acts 9:36-42. May we please plead with the family to read the verses to see how the text applies to Barbara, and billions of others who will have their lives restored back to them. So in closing we say continue to draw comfort from the scriptures. Keep the promise regarding the resurrection hope near your heart all the time. Yes this arrangement is God's personal guarantee that it will take place. Remember that it is impossible for God to lie.(Titus 1:2
