To the Merrell Family We are sadden to hear about the passing of Cedric Merrell Sr. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. Please take comfort from the thoughtful words that will be shared with you from the many family members and friends. We must also be mindful that our Loving Creator will also be there for us. The scriptures clearly tells us that He is the God of tender mercy and comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) When anyone loses someone in death, there is indeed a need for all family members and friends to receive comfort in helping them deal with the lost of a love one. God has revealed to us that death is our enemy.( 1 Corinthians 15:26) Yes He has also explained to us how death enter the world and was passed down to all human family. Every time death claims another human being, it is only a clear reminder of how far the human family has fallen from God's original purpose. Despite the fall, God continue to display His love for the offspring of the first man. Yes He provide a perfect sacrifice to offset the fall of the first man. From the time of that fall. God has been patiently working to bring about wonderful changes that will benefit not only the living, but also those who have died. Just look at this promise that God makes known to all families of the earth. God tells us that He would soon use His great powers to restore life back to those .(John 5:28-29) To the Merrell family, God is telling you that Cedric will live again. He wants you and other families to have strong faith in this promise. So He has preserved nine accounts in the bible that speaks about this grand arrangement from God. Here is just one example that is found at Acts 9:36-42. May we please encourage all to find the time to read the verses. Yes why not see how they apply to Cedric, as God uses His great powers to restore him back to life.
