Evelyn R. Gaines Nashville, TN Age 89 passed away January 29, 2017. She was a retired School Teacher, proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a faithful member of First Baptist Church Capitol Hill a loyal member of the Fisk University Alumni Assoc. and The Saturday Lunch Bunch. Evelyn was preceded in death by parents, Love and Mattie Reddick, brother, Dr. William Reddick and husband, Dr. John Gaines. She is survived by cousin-in-law, Mattie Humber, god-daughter, Sheila Hill and a host of friends. Viewing will be Thursday, February 2, 2017, 12-6 at funeral home. Visitation will be Friday 11-11:45 with Ivy beyond the wall service 11:45-12pm and funeral to follow at First Baptist Church Capitol Hill, Dr. Kelly Miller Smith, Jr., Eulogist.
