Mary Elizabeth Cornelius

Mary Elizabeth Cornelius was born on January 21, 1972, in Davidson, North Carolina to Jennie Cornelius and Thomas White. She graduated from North Mecklenburg, Class of 1971. She worked for the University of Tennessee.

Mary departed this life on September 15, 2024, at Fort Sanders Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie White; niece, Shernerick Twitty; and sister, Sandra Donaldson.

She leaves to cherish her memory for children: Demario Cornelius, Thomas Cornelius (Kenisha Anderson), Lashonda Cornelius, Keanna Cornelius, and Keondra Cornelius; seven
grandchildren; brothers: Lonnie Conelius, Thomas (Laura) White, and Kimmy (Debrah) White; sisters: Karen (Charles) Twitty, Roberta Twitty, Janet Cornelius, Etta White, Charles Whyte, and Sylvia Thompson; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel.
