Darrin Linell Gary was born April 22, 1969, to Alfonzo and Janie Gary. He was called home to rest on September 13, 2024.

Darrin was educated in the Wake County Public School System and graduated from Cary Senior High School. He was employed for four years at CSL Seqirus in Holly Springs. A passionate motorcyclist, Darrin enjoyed not only riding but also testing the limits of speed. In his leisure time, he loved grilling and sharing meals with friends and family.

A dedicated fan of the UNC Tar Heels and a devoted supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Darrin's heart was always in the game. His other love was for all things ECU. Darrin attended every single football game, cheering on his beloved Pirates but more so being a ‘Cheer Day’! His true passion was basketball whether he was playing, coaching or mentoring, if there was a round ball in play, he was there.

Darrin was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; uncle, Howard Gary; brother-in-law, Paul Carrington and cousin, Rodney Holloway.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Jordan Alexis Gary, affectionately known as ‘JJ’; his sisters, Rhonda Carrington and Quiana Gary; niece, Ari Carrington; nephew, Terrance Trice. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends, and the Whitaker, Hunt and Mann Families, all of whom will cherish is memory.

Visitation: 12:00 - 1:00 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Victory Temple Ministries in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Victory Temple Ministries, 1000 Wagstaff Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: Town of Holly Springs Cemetery, 451 Earp Street in Holly Springs, NC 27540.
