Perry Lee Cobb

Perry Lee Cobb was born January 26, 1932, in Sparta Georgia to the late Sidney Wallace and Beatrice Bailey Cobb. He departed this earth at Athens Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia on September 18, 2024.

Perry was educated in the Hancock County School system.

Perry was a hardworking man who held various job. He had a pulpwood business with his late brother-in-law Gus Robbins. He was employed with Georgia Power until starting employment with Seaboard Farms where he retired from.

Perry was a member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Perry was proceeded in death by his parents, 15 siblings, his wife Ruby Nell Cobb of 63 years, a son Keith Cobb and a grandson Javious “Jay” Tucker.

Perry was married to the late Ruby Nell Cobb and to this union six children was born.

Perry leaves to cherish his memories a daughter Bernice Smith Cobb of Athens, GA; four sons, Terry (Daphney) Cobb, Sr. of Athens, GA, Rennis Cobb, Sr. and Stacey (Gloria) Cobb, Sr. of White Plains, GA and Raymond (Velicia) Cobb of Greensboro, GA. 28 grandchildren, Timothy (Tracey) Smith, Derrick (Shakena) Smith, Antoine Maddox, Michelle Maddox, Renea (Joseph) Smith Jarques Walker, Rennis Cobb, Jr., Marcus Cobb, Laterral (Earl) Kester, Tiffinay Cobb, Stephanie Cobb, Sherenna (Dexter) Walker, LaToya Cobb, Naquana Cobb, Terry Cobb, Jr, Keesha (Shawn) Jernigan, Kimbery (Lorenzo) Bush, Jonatha Johnson, Whitney Jones, Tawny Cobb, Raquel Cobb, Jalen Cobb, Terrance Bailey, Shakita Cobb, LaToya Brown, Niesha Cobb, Stacey (Asia) Cobb, Jr, and Brandon Cobb. 74 great-grandchildren and 12 great-greatgrandchildren. Two brothers Roosevelt (Dorothy) Cobb of Sparta, GA and Frank Cobb of Grand Rapid, MI. Two aunts Sarah Robbins of White Plains, GA and Magertha Cobb of Sparta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
