Princella Streeter, 82, passed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Bethel Christian Fellowship Hall located at 531 Bethel Rd, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Kortavious Key, eulogist, pastor Roy. J. Jones, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Public viewing is 2:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Our queen, Princella Battle Streeter, affectionally known as "Precious", at the age of 82, received her heavenly wings on September 17, 2024. Precious was born on April 27, 1942 in Pittsview, Alabama to the late Johnny Battle Sr and Cornelia Daniel Battle. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Bethel African Methodist Church, which si now known as Bethel
Christian Fellowship Church. She served faithfully as a choir member, president of the Usher Board and other various auxiliaries of the church. Ms. Streeter was an employer of Bibb Mill, but retired from Char-Broil Company after many years of service. Other than the love she had
for her family and church, she enjoyed fishing, yard saling and cooking for her family, friends and church. She was famous for her Collards and Cornbread.
She preceded in death three brothers, Johnny Battle Sr., Earkus Battle Sr, Jimmie Lee Battle Sr, sister Cynthia Jenkins, her beloved son J.C. Streeter and daughter, Ella Streeter and great grandson, DeShunvia Lindsey.
Our matriarch leaves to cherish her memories five children, Glenda Luke Eric), Angela Streeter Washington, Thurmond Streeter, Sharon Riley(Vincent) and Clyde Streeter all of Columbus, Ga, a God-son, James Davis(Gywn) of Phenix City, Ala. Columbus, Ga, Melvin Love Jr.(Carol) of Detroit, Mich and Theda Scott of Phenix City, Ala, a loving and devoted sister, Cora Lee Wilson, of Seale, Ala, a special cousin, Mary Louise
Hampton of Pittsview, Ala and a dedicated caregiver, her granddaughter, Cornelia Edwards of
Columbus, Ga. Also, three sisters-in-law, Lonnie Bel Battle of Columbus, Ga, Georgia Battle and Shirley Battle of Pittsview, Ala. Our dear Precious had twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine greatgrandchildren and a host of relatives and special friends
