Billy Jr. Ficklin was born December 19, 1948, to the late Vardaman and Lucille Ficklin. He departed this life on September 19, 2024 at home, Billy. Jr. accepted Christ and attended Rising Chapel M.B. Church. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to those that encountered him. Billy was a hard worker all his life and pushed himself until his very last breath. He enjoyed singing, joking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Billy was preceded in death by two children Kirksey Demond Ficklin and Sonya Lacore Ficklin, four sisters and two brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Bonnie Jean Ficklin, one daughter Lacole (Derrick) Hardney of Ellisville, MS two sons Hedrick (Carmelita) Ficklin and Jarvis Ficklin of Lena, MS. six grandchildren, Detrale Hardney, Iyonia Hardney, Halana Ficklin, Jaisoul Harris, Carmen Ficklin and Madelyn Ficklin. One sister Rosie Neil Bridges of Carthage, MS. Four brothers: Robert Ficklin, Eddie Lee Ficklin, Bennie Ray Ficklin all of Lena, MS and a host of other relatives, adopted family and friends.
