Mrs. Stephanie Young Merriweather, born on May 23, 1976, will always be remembered for her sweet smile, vibrant spirit and lasting impact on those around her. She made her transition on September 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
Public Viewing will be held Thursday, September 26,2024 at Williams Funeral Home, 1725 Martin Luther King Drive, Augusta Georgia from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
Balloon Release will be held at Redzone Barber Shop, 1631 Gordon Highway, Suite 6, Augusta, GA, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 7:00 P.M.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 27,2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Fleming Baptist Church located at 1267 New Fleming Church Road, Bartow, Georgia. Interment will be held at the Family Plot at New Fleming Baptist Church Cemetery.
Stephanie graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1995 and continued her education at Georgia Southern University. She built a successful career as a Manager at Sitel, Teleperformance, Expert Specialist at ADP, Supervisor at Conversion Employment Agency and later the manager at T-Mobile, demonstrating her strong leadership skills and dedication. A member of New Fleming Baptist Church since her youth, Stephanie has always valued her community and faith. In 2016, she joined the Changin Lanez car club, where she later took on the role of President, showcasing her passion for leadership and collaboration. As a devoted football mom, Stephanie supported her son and his teammates with love and enthusiasm. She was known for her beautiful spirit, gentle nature, and caring heart, leaving a positive impact on everyone she encountered.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents Annette Young and Ronnie Warthen, her grandparents, Robert Lee and Minnie Bell Young, as well as her aunt Virginia West and Sammie Young.
Stephanie is lovingly remembered by her husband, George A. Merriweather, III, Grovetown, GA and her cherished son, Chase Amore George Young Merriweather, Grovetown GA.She is also survived by one brother: Tavaris (Leah) Young, Ft. Valley, GA; step-daughter, Kimore Safferia Merriweather, and step-sons, Marcus Nunally and Alexander Zeke Barkley. Shephanie was a very blessed person, having the maternal love of, not only her mother, Annette, but also by her aunt, Jeanette Young Smith of Wadley, GA; Her family includes her supportive sisters, Jamie Smith and Mary Williams-Colbert, along with aunts and uncles: Cleveland Williams from Wadley, GA; Danny (Sharma) Young of Clinton, MD, Larry (Venetta) Sherrod, Hephzibah, GA; Shirley (Gregory) Gibson of North Augusta, SC; and Regina McClendon, Roselyn Harris, and Cheryl (Dwight) Harris of Jacksonville, FL, Stephanie's loving nieces and nephews: Jiyah Brown, Mya Young, Khristian Young, Armani Young and Matthew Gragg; and her extended families from the “Changin Lanez” Car Club and Red Zone Barbershop, including Nico, Stone, Mel, Zack, Mike, True J, O, and Meka, will carry her memory forward with great fondness.
