Obituary For Gideon Dye

Gideon Dye, Jr. Nashville - of Nashville, TN passed away on July 28, 2018. He was born on April 12, 1943 in Gadsden, Alabama where his dad was stationed in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years Gloria; children: Gideon, III, Ronald (Danielle), and Aaron Sr.; Grandchildren: Khaleel, Kaleb, Empress (Jew Jew), and Aaron Jr.; Sister, Barbara Dye Williams; Brothers: Michael (Pam) Dye and Tyrone Dye; Step Mother, Susie Dye and step siblings: Thomas (Jackie) McMurry and Kathy (Albert) Jones. Nieces and nephews: Christal Williams, Joel Williams (Tomechia), Micala Dye, Selena Davis-Williams, and Xavier Williams. He received his B.S. degree in accounting at Tennessee State University where he was a member of the TSU baseball team. He will be remembered as a respected, faithful employee of Tennessee State University where he worked and retired after 35 years. Upon his retirement he was the Assistant Director of Purchasing and Business Services. He also worked part time at UPS where he was instrumental in securing jobs for numerous young men. Visitation will be Saturday, August 4, 2018, 10:00- 11:00. with Celebration Service to follow at Cathedral of Praise, 4300 Clarksville Pk. Bishop Jerry L. Maynard Sr., Eulogist.
