Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. EST on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Church of Christ in Crawford, AL with Brother Bennie Braswell, officiating. Burial in Church of Christ Cemetery. Public viewing is 4:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Brother Joshua Alexander Jones, of Atlanta, GA, was born October 20, 1995 to Bobby Jones and Tamika Hampton. He departed this life Monday, September 23, 2024 in Atlanta, GA.

He was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School and attended Georgia State University. He was a graduate of the police academy. He worked at Georgia State University as a detective/investigator. He was baptized at an early age at the Church of Christ in Seale, AL. He was very artistic, kind, giving, and loved by all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Bobby Jones of Ellenwood, GA; his mother, Tamika Hampton of Columbus, GA; grandmother, Linda Jackson of Columbus, GA; grandfather, Joesph Hampton of Columbus, GA; three brothers, Darren Jones, Deyon Hampton, and Branden Bradley; four sisters, Chantelle Cortez of St. George, Utah, Jasmine Hampton, Keatha Hamptonm and Faliysha Hampton, all of Columbus, GA; two uncles, Quincy Hampton and James Hampton, both of Columbus, GA.; three aunts, Katrina Hampton, Miyia Hampton both of Columbus, GA and Christine (Nathaniel) Taylor of Smiths, AL. Also left to cherish his memories, seven nephews, five nieces, four great uncles, six great aunts, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
