Funeral service for Lettie Jones, 72, of Auburn, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at White Street Missionary Baptist Church, 535 Carlisle Drive, Auburn, Alabama 36832 with interment in Pine Level Cemetery, 4650 Arrow Head Road, Loachapoka, Alabama 36865, Reverend Jamal Oliver, Pastor, Reverend Johnny Green, Eulogist.

Mrs. Jones, who passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at her home in Auburn, Alabama, was born September 7, 1952, in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Mrs. Jones will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

She attended J.F. Drake High School in Auburn, Alabama until the integration of the public school system where she graduated from Sanford High School Class of 1970. Lettie retired from East Alabama Medical Center after thirty-five years of dedicated service. She enjoyed caregiving, shopping, reading, and gardening, particularly taking care of her flower garden.

She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Christopher (Marla) Jones of McDonough, GA, Chrysanthia “Sandy” Jones of Atlanta, GA and Josephine Hall of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren, Kiersten Jones, Emerie Jones, Zikia Jones-Martin, Olivia Jones, Tina (Andre) Torbert and Latoya Daniels; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Inez (James) Boutwell of Syracuse, NY, Atheria Morgan of Tallassee, AL, Joanne Askew of Loachapoka, AL and Beatrice Harris of Auburn, AL; six brothers, Curtis Lockhart, Tom Hall, Jr. both of Loachapoka, AL, Herman Askew of Tallassee, AL, Gregory Hall of Syracuse, NY, Garryson Hall of Richmond, VA and Billy Mack Jackson of Auburn, AL; two aunts, Katie Bass of Loachapoka, AL and Annie Byrd Webb of Atlanta, GA; a special loving cousin, Matilda Oliver of Opelika, AL; a special friend, Angela Debrow-Alexander of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
