Ms. Rosetta Smith was born October 25, 1941 to the late Lottie Mae Smith and the late James Beasley. After losing her mother at an early age, she was raised by her grandmother, Ms. Ella Mae Benson, who also preceded her in death.

In the early morning on October 2, 2024, she peacefully transitioned to be home with the Lord at Pruitt Health Care of Washington, Georgia.

Rosetta joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at on early age. She attended schools in Wilkes County and Oglethorpe County. She was employed at Kendall/Veratec of Athens, where she worked faithfully for 24 years until her retirement in 2000.

Rosetta loved her family and friends and was known for helping those in need. Rosetta raised her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by her loved ones. She leaves to cherish her memories one son William Smith (Renea) of Athens, Ga.; two daughters Gail Smith and Linda Smith of Washington, Ga.; eight grandchildren: Michael Jenkins, Tamika Smith, Quarica Smith (Tanisha), Zeffon Smith, Sebastian Smith, Jarvis Williams and Desiree Richardson (Quannie); eleven great-grandchildren Devarious, Kaleb, Dalyn, Keelan, Bryson, Jeremiah, Jermani, Zoey, Moriah, Icelynn, Lyric and Nova; two great-great grandchildren Laila and Kinsley; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
