Bertha Lee (Clayborn) Duncan was born March 8th, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the parents of the late Emma Lee Hardrick and late Samuel Clayborn, Sr.

She had four children: Theris Lee Clayborn, Willie Mae Cox, Delane Lester and Cynthia Wilson. She was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord. She enjoyed singing spiritual hymns and reading the Bible. She has grandchildren: Shamika (Reggie) Jackson, Krystal (Steve) Johnson, Dominique Lester, Mark (Cindy) Wilson, Carmalita Pennimon, Deborah Cox, Clarence Cox, Jr., a devoted niece, Laura Turner, and devoted great-grandson Kyreon (Ahkeela) Pennimon.
