OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Little Zion Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Albert Miles, 91, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Calvin Moore, Pastor of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Miles leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Christopher (Elizabeth) Miles of Flower Mound, TX; one daughter, Marilyn Boutte of Lafayette, LA; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Miles of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren, John Al Miles, Jr., Luther Boutte (Kayla), Chris Miles, Jr. (Tamera), Brittney Miles, Dylan Miles and Taylor Miles; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Geraldine Dominick Miles; his parents, Emma Leday Miles, John Quincy Miles, Sr. and Clementine Thomas Miles; one son, John Al Miles, Sr.; two infant daughters, Karen and Sharon Miles; one son-in-law, Nathan Boutte, Sr.; and ten siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church.
