Emma L. Hairston, 81, of Martinsville, Va., passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville, VA. She was born April 4,1937 in Virginia to the late Mattie and Samuel Belcher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Barry D. Belcher.

Ms. Emma is survived by two daughters, Regina Hairston and Monica Hairston; one son, William Hairston; three sisters, Thelma R. Bowles, Mattie B. Hairston (Leon) and Mary B. Hairston (Esaw) and three brothers, Eldridge L. Belcher (Lilly); Kenneth W. Belcher and Jeffrey A. Belcher.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at The C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home.
