OPELOUSAS – Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Doretha Rubin, 78, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Ms. Rubin’s memories are being cherished by: her three sons, Joenell Rubin (H. Rubin), Kendrick Rubin and Christopher Rubin, all of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Denico Murray (Joseph) of Washington, LA and Patsy Frank of Columbia, SC; six brothers, Jerry Tanner, Jimmy Tanner, Kenneth Tanner, Randy Tanner, Dennis Tanner and Andrus Tanner; seven sisters, Barbara Hatcher Tanner, Shirley Tanner, Patricia Tanner, Brenda Tanner, Carolyn Tanner Pickney, Stephanie Tanner and Deborah Tanner; eighteen grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents, Hosea Alexander and Majorie Rubin Tanner; one daughter, Charlotte Rubin; and two brothers, Michael Tanner and Eugene Tanner.
