On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, Frederick J. Wooden, 39, of Hunt Woods Dr., Martinsville, VA transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life. He was born in Martinsville, VA on August 17, 1985, to Jacqueline Wooden Cabiness and the late John Hairston.

In addition to his father, Frederick was preceded in death by one son, Zayden Goodness Blue Wooden, and stepfather, Paul Cabiness.

Frederick was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Fieldale, VA, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eden NC. He was a graduate of Martinsville High School class of 2004. Fredrick was a self-employed businessman operating G2 Automotives, Yo Daddy Properties, and Finney's Window Tinting.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Winter Finney Wooden of the home; his mother, Jaqueline Wooden Cabiness of Martinsville, VA one sister, Danielle Hairston (Starling); two brothers, Dominique Wooden and Jason Wooden all Martinsville, VA; two adopted children, Euniek Craighead of Collinsville, VA, and DeNayshia Martin of Concord, NC; two adopted grandchildren; mother-in-law, Sylvia Finney of Martinsville, VA; one aunt, Mercedes Pleasent of Martinsville, VA; sister by choice, Rachael Kreul; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation service will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Refuge Temple Ministries, 205 Clearview Dr., Martinsville, VA with Pastor Benjamin Redd, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Dillard-Finney-Hairston Family Cemetery, Martinsville, VA.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Hairston Funeral Home, 301 Fayette St., Martinsville, VA between the hours of 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Live streaming of the funeral service will be available at Hairston Funeral Home live via Facebook.
