Tyrone Memphis Montgomery, 44, passed away on October 16, 2024, at his home. He was born October 31, 1979, to Frances Chambers and John Montgomery.
During his early years, his grandmother, Warniece Peguese Chambers, raised him. His middle and high school years, he lived with his father and co-mother, Dannie Montgomery.
He was a 1998 graduate of Anson High School.
Tyrone had three children whom he loved dearly. His first child, Tyrone Memphis Montgomery, Jr., preceded him in death. His grandmother, Warniece Peguese Chambers, grandfathers, James W. Chambers and John Si Caple, Daisy Montgomery Dockery, and a special aunt, Ruby Chambers, also preceded him in death.
Tyrone was beloved by his family and leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Jemerik Montgomery of Texas, and Elijah Montgomery of the home. His mother, Frances C. Teal; father, John Montgomery and co-mother, Pastor Dannie Montgomery; four brothers, James Teal Jr., Derrick Montgomery (Kevin), Fayetteville, NC, John Montgomery Jr., Wadesboro, NC, DeMarcus Montgomery (Neisha), Tampa, Florida; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Friday, October 25, 2024, 3:00pm, in the Chapel of Smith's Funeral Home, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow the service at Galilee A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 300 Galilee Road, Morven, North Carolina.
The Montgomery Family will greet family and friends on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 2:30-3:00pm at Smith's Funeral Home and at all other times at the family residence in Morven, North Carolina.
The public viewing will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 4:30-6:00pm at Smith's Funeral Home.
