Mr. Jimmy Lee Edmond, 80, passed on Friday October 18, 2024 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, November 2, 2024 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Pryce Battle, officiating. Burial to follow in Bethel Christian Church Cemetery located at 531 Bethel Rd, Pittsview, AL. Public viewing is 1:00-5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Mr. Jimmy Lee Edmond was born on February 20, 1944 in Seale, Alabama to the late Clarence and Odell Edmond. He departed his life on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, GA.
He was preceded in death by his late wife Loraine Edmond. Mr. Edmond's education was limited due his responsibilities at a young age for his mother and younger siblings at home. His occupation for most of his life was construction. He worked for McMath construction company for many years, but retired from Gordy Constructions after 15 years before his retirement at the age of 60.
Mr. Jimmy Edmond was known for his love of music and he loved to dance, and his wittiness to make you laugh. His nickname was “Jimmy Jam”. He will be truly be missed by all that knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three children, Yvonne (Ray) White of Fort Mitchell, AL; Jimmy Jr. (Linda) Edmond of Smiths Station, AL; Pamela Edmond of Columbus, GA, three brothers, William Edmond of Seale, AL,; RC (Aretha) Edmond of Phenix City, AL; Curtis (Annie) Edmond of Ft. Mitchell, AL, two sisters, Doris Miles of Phenix City, AL; Ella Brundidge of Phenix City, AL, six grandchildren, De'Angelo Brundidge, Ramirez Edmond, Jasmine Gause, Nealleyon Adams, Jarhavis Reese, and Laquasha Major Edmond; six great-grandchildren, Julian, Iyana, Maddox, Kailyn, Journi, Jaxson, and host of other relatives and friends.
