Shirley Ann Haney, 82, of Bowie went home to be with our Lord Friday, October 18, 2024 in Bowie, Texas.

A visitation will take place Monday, October 21, 2024 from 6 to 8pm at White Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 10am on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church in Bowie, with a burial following at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richie Haney, Laramie Durham, Gary Gresham, Kyle Dixon, Sloan Gossett, and Chris Anderson.

Shirley was born on November 17, 1941 in Bowie, Texas to Aubrey and Sybil Beasley. She met Don Haney while still attending high school and they married on October 11, 1958. She attended school in Bowie where she graduated in 1960.


She enjoyed being a homemaker and spent many years as a pastor's wife, serving the Lord with her husband. She later opened a furniture store with her husband in Bowie and they enjoyed serving the community for 25 years.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, daughter Sheila Haney, granddaughter Madison Durham, and siblings Billy Ray Beasley and Peggy Posey.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children Mindy Gresham and husband Gary, Richie Haney and wife Donna, all of Bowie. Her grandchildren are Shae Lee Anderson and husband Chris of Bowie, Laramie Durham of Stephenville, Rittney Haney of Denton, and Kristy Chambers and husband Tim of Bowie. Great grandchildren are Aubrey Durham Anderson, Hayden Chambers, Payton Chambers, and Miley Thompson. Siblings are Larry Beasley and Belinda Mahaffey.
