Mrs. Lula Ann Floyd Newberry, affectionately known as “Lula”, was born on February 18, 1953 to the late Mr. Oscar Felder and the late Mrs. Eloise Floyd.

Lula was educated in the Turner County Public School System and attended Eureka Elementary and High School.

Lula gave her life to Christ at a young age and was a faithful member of New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. She loved good hymns, gospel songs, and her church. Her family was at the top of her list. More than anything else, she was loved by others.

Lula worked at Lad & Dad for many years and at M&W Sportswear for many years. She was blessed to have been surrounded by friends and loved ones who cared for her. We should all be so lucky.

On October 19, 2024, Lula transitioned on up to Glory to start her heavenly mission. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Lee Felder and Eloise Floyd Edmond, her sister, Ella Armstrong, and her brothers, Rufus Felder and Frank Green.

Lula leaves to mourn her passing a loving husband, Roy Lee Newberry; a brother, ten sisters, six brothers-in-law, eight sisters-in-law, three aunts, two uncles, two loving godmothers, Ms. Geneva Jackson and Mrs. Catherine Lykes, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
