Ryan J. Monroe was born September 4, 1998 to Don and Twinetta Monroe. He entered into eternal rest on October 17, 2024.

Ryan graduated from Harnett Central High School in 2016. He was on the soccer team, marching band, concert band, winterguard, and participated in several school clubs.

He began playing the piano at age eight and played consistently until his death. He found joy by playing at several senior facilities and for Rescue Missions. Throughout his life, he played over seven different instruments.

He attended and graduated with honors from UNC Wilmington where he received his B.S. degree in biology in 2020. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed learning.

While in college, he participated in the pep band, jazz band, and concert band. He was actively involved in community service projects in the local Wilmington area.

After college, he taught science for two years at Triton High School and joined the music ministry at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church and played the piano and drums.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers - Andrew Monroe and Frankie L. Ford, Jr; uncle; Gregory Monroe.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Don and Twinetta Monroe; brother; Bryson Monroe; grandparents; Mary Monroe and Mellar Ford; Aunts; Tisha Ford, Kimberly McRae (Clinton), Shannon Monroe; uncles, Ronald Monroe and Todd Ford, 14 first cousins that has a special place in his heart, 7 second cousins.

Visitation: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024, at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 4813 Hilltop Needmore Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Burial: New Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Johnson Pond Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
