Obituary For Mr. Timmie Ford

Timmie Ford, affectionately known as “Bubba and The Great Ragu” to his family and friends, transitioned from this earthly life on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 57. Timmie was born on October 22, 1960 to the late Jethro and Elvera Ford in Dillon County, South Carolina.

He was educated in the public schools system of Dillon County, South Carolina, Dillon High School Class of 1978. Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country and earned an honorable discharge.

Timmie was a huge sports fanatic, and he especially enjoyed football. He had a sense of humor unlike no other. He was the life of the party, and his hearty laughter would light up any room. Timmie was the world’s greatest storyteller and would have his listeners at the edge of their seats. He was a great listener and would give the most thoughtful advice. He will be truly missed by his loved ones.

Timmie is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, six brothers and a mother-n-law.

He leaves to cherish his memory ~ his wife: Gwendolyn Ford; one son: Christopher Ford; two step-children: Tameka Rogers and Feliciano Rogers, father-n-law: Theodore McKenzie; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters: Ruby Ford Brockington and Linda Washington; four brothers: James (Cynthia) Ford, William (Rosa) Ford, Moses (Deanna) Ford and Larry (Ruby) Abraham; eleven sisters-n-law: Carrie Lee Ford, Odessa Ford, Wanda Ford, Cassandra Bethea, Kathy (John) Rollings, Wendy Gooding, Charlotte (Carl) Hunter, Cookie (James) Blue, Hope (Paul) McIntyre, Erena McKenzie, and Monica McKellar; four brothers-n-law: Ronnie McKellar, Charles (Mary) McKenzie, Giovani McKenzie and Theodore McKenzie; two close friends: Richard Ford (who was his lifetime best friend) and Luther Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Timmie will always live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
