John Arthur Aldridge of Stone Mountain, GA formerly Auburn, AL, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. John was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Aldridge (Elnora Morgan), Auburn, AL.

He was a graduate of Lee County Training School and Morehouse College. He was a WWII veteran. He was a committed educator and principal.

He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, serving in various capacities especially in the singing ministries.

He was married to Dr. June McDonald Aldridge, a retired professor from Spelman College for 56 years.
