FRANKSTON---Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Wade, 91, are scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Frankston High School Auditorium with supt. Ray Baker, eulogist. Burial will be in Running Springs Cemetery under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.
Mrs. Wade was born in Frankston, Texas on October 3, 1933 to the late Roosevelt Hill and the late Alice Crear. She transitioned on October 27, 2024.
She attended George W. Carver Schools, was a cook and a member of Spiritual Powerhouse COGIC.
Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her spouse, one grandson and one brother. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters: Retha White (Michael), Gail Smith (Robert), Alice Renfro all of Frankston, Texas and Mary Hatton of Tyler, Texas; her son: Richard Hatton Jr of Frankston; brother: Burnis Manoy on Frankston, Texas; one sister: Verna Harper of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Public viewing will be on Friday, November 1st from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
