Mr. Robert Lee Washington, 77, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Riverside/Oakview Cemetery, 200 Cotton Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31701.

Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to Wille and Ruth Washington on May 10, 1947, in Albany, Georgia. He attended Monroe High School and was drafted into the United States Army. His tours included Vietnam, Korea, and Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was honorably discharged as a Vietnam veteran, and he wore it proudly. He was so proud to be a Vietnam Veteran and was not ashamed to display it every opportunity he had; on hats, clothes, cars, you name it. He was also employed at the Albany Marine Corps Base as a mechanic.

Bob’s fervent spirit is carried on by his wife, Brenda; three children, Robert Jr, Michael, and Tanya; five grandchildren; Michael Jr., Jamie, Isaiah, Daniel, Erica; nine great-grandchildren; Damarques, Keira, Mike Jr., Javon, Caylee, Julian, Kory, Lillian, and Malachi; sisters; Carolyn and Brenda Lee; brothers; Kenneth, Donald, Victor and Ricky.

Preceding him in peace were his brothers Willie “Bill” and Stanley, his sister Annie Ruth, and his parents, Willie Ruth, and Willie Washington.
